New Zealand Self Drive Tour
New Zealand Farming Tour
New Zealand is a small country and self-drive touring is an excellent option. With a population of just over 4 million, New Zealand roads are relatively free from congestion. It also gives you great flexibility.
On our self-drive tours, we generally include some overnight farm stays -absolutely the best way to meet and interact with friendly New Zealand farming families, whilst enjoying comfortable accommodation and home cooked meals. You can learn about New Zealand farming, see the livestock and crops and, for the very enthusiastic, perhaps even help with farm activities! We blend the farm stays with other styles of accommodation, including bed and breakfasts, motels, lodges and hotels to give you the right mix.
For the more adventurous or leisure orientated, New Zealand also offers wonderful opportunities for golfing, trout fishing, wineries, sailing, snow or water skiing, parapenting, hiking, bird watching, swimming, surfing, photography, painting, horseback riding, kayaking, whale watching, swimming with dolphins, rafting, jet boating, gliding... the list of possibilities is seemingly endless!
Although New Zealand has a relatively temperate climate, the warmer months to visit are September to April and we suggest you allow at least two weeks for your travel.
