Ross Macmillan is the Managing Director of Farm To
Farm Tours. He is a B.Agr.Sc. graduate of Lincoln University
and a Registered Farm Management Consultant. He has been involved
in farm consultancy and organising agricultural tours since 1970.
He spent 10 years as a Farm Adviser with the New Zealand Department
of Agriculture and 25 years in Private Practise - mainly in Rangiora,
Canterbury, NZ. Ross is experienced in a wide range of NZ agriculture
and has travelled extensively leading tour groups from New Zealand
- mainly to South America, UK and Ireland, Europe, USA and Canada,
and Australia.
Linda Macmillan is a Registered Nurse and works part
time at the Nurse Maude Hospice in Christchurch. In between times,
she helps with Farm To Farm's inbound and outbound tours. She
has assisted Ross with several tours around the globe during
which time her medical experience has proven of value as has
her assistance in itinerary design and quality control.
The couple have lived on their small farm since 1973 where
they grow a few of hectares of wine grapes, run a few calves
and sheep, and grow and sell baleage.

Desray Geursen has been the office manager with Farm
To Farm Tours since 1999. Desray attends to the day to day running
of the business, including account management, communications,
filing, tour reservations, Wim Geursen has a background
in marketing, mainly in the tyre industry and more recently in
property development and building industry.
Originally from the Wellington region, the couple moved to
Canterbury in 1985. Wim and Desray live on a lifestyle block,
near Rangiora, farming cattle. The couple have lead Farm To Farm
Tour groups to several countries, inlcuding UK and Ireland, South
America and Europe.

Gabriela Gomez Fell has acted as a Spanish Speaking guide
for some of our Farm To Farm inbound tour groups. Gabriela is
from an estancia in Punta Arenas, Chile and currently at Lincoln
University studying for a Degree in Parks and Recreational Management.
Gabriela has excellent language and leadership skills and
a good understanding of agriculture. It has been our pleasure
to utilise her services in Farm To Farm Tours.

Gerry Stone studied Veterinary Science in Sydney at
a time when New Zealand had no Vet Faculty. He practised as a
Veterinarian in Hawkes Bay for 8 years, and North Auckland for
2 years before moving to Rangiora in 1970.Gerry has recently
retired from Veterinary Practice.
Jennie Stone is a teacher at Villa Maria College in
Christchurch. Gerry and Jennie met and married in Sydney before
returning to NZ
Gerry and Jennie have lead Farm To Farm Tour groups to UK
and Ireland and to Canada.

Sally Spencer grew up at Camshorn, a farm north of
Amberley which now belongs to Montana and is planted with vines.
She studied at Lincoln College and became a Landscape Designer.
Sally married David Spencer, travelled the world, including Africa.
They then home to save for a farm and to start a family of 4
children. Eventually they bought a property near Oxford on the
banks of the Waimakariri River with city partners. They farmed
there for 6 years, until David died in an accident.
Sally has since been involved in farming, landscape design
and driving small tour groups. In 2004 Sally lead a Farm To Farm
Tour to South Africa

John and Heather Metherell farm a 363 ha downland dairy
farm in South Otago in conjunction with a 50/50 sharemilker.
After nearly 30 years farming sheep and cattle they converted
to dairying five years ago. Southwell Plants, a nursery
growing perennial plants and supplying garden centres throughout
the country has been a big part of Heather's life for over 20
years and especially since converting to dairying is her main
occupation.
Heather and John first traveled overseas to Indonesia, Singapore
and Malayasia in 1976 and then to UK, Ireland and Europe in 1983,
when John studied the management of prolific sheep flocks. In
1993, while a member of the Meat and Wool Boards Electoral Committee,
he traveled with a small group of farmers studying meat and wool
marketing in a number of developed and developing countries.
Short holidays have included trips to Australia and yachting
in the beautiful coral waters of northern Tonga. John is a B.Ag.Sc.
Graduate of Lincoln University.

Kirstie Macmillan - was raised on
her parents small farm at Ashley, near Rangiora before attending
Otago University. She graduated from Otago University with degrees
in Law and Commerce then worked as a lawyer in Christchurch for
nearly three years before travelling and working overseas for
2 years, based in London. After returning to NZ in 2004 she lead
a Farm To Farm Tours group to Canada. She has currently working
again as a laywer in Christchurch. |

Jock and Helen Webster
Helen & Jock live at Totara just south of Oamaru in North
Otago. They are shareholders in Mitchell & Webster Limited
which crops 1100ha growing wheat, sunflower & canary seed
and lucerne (for silage production) and Topflite Ltd (manufacturers
and marketers of bird and small animal food).
Helen grew up on a farm in Southland while Jock has always lived
in North Otago though he is a graduate of Lincoln College with
an Agricultural Science degree.
Jock & Helen have previously led Farm to Farm Tours to UK
(1999) and South America (2001).
In 2004 they toured China & Vietnam.
Jock is Chairman of North Otago Irrigation Company and is heavily
involved in the construction of the North Otago Irrigation Scheme.
Helen is very much the home support and while being a keen gardener
still fits in some event organising.
It is still a busy household though the family are now all away
from home. Nick 25 on OE, Greg accountant Auckland and Jane student
Otago University.
Jock & Helen really enjoy meeting new people, sharing ideas
and having fun which matches up really well with leading Farm
to Farm Tours. Jock is a B.Ag.Sc. Graduate of Lincoln University.

Annette (Winks) and Stuart Bridge are farming in Gisborne.
They have lead two very successful tours for Farm to Farm. The
first to South America in 2007 and another to the UK and Ireland
in 2008. |
